Donald "Don" Butler
Don, a full time wood turner, is a resident of Cleveland, Georgia.
He has studied under world-class English woodturner Ray Key, and American turners: Jim Talley, Dave Barringer, Hal Simmons, and Terry Daniel.
Don is a member of the American Association of Woodturners, Brasstown Woodturners Guild, and Mountain Laurel Woodturners.
His turnings include: bowls, platters, large plates, modern spheres, inside-outside vessels, writing pens, candle holders of various shapes and sizes and architectural turnings.
Don recently completed a commission for over a hundred balusters for the restoration of an 1896 historic home in Abbeville, S.C.
His exquisite work is exhibited and for sale in his booth inside the Art & Antiques mall. Don also takes orders for custom work and gives private lessons. Contact him at:
