Maria Childers began her art journey by accident in 2010. Like a lot of us, she didn't know what to get her family for Christmas. A friend, who created beautiful, hand-made cards, suggested that Maria make calendars for everyone. Maria laughed and told her that she didn't have an artistic bone in her body. It turned out she was wrong. With her friend's help, Maria created calendars for her family and they loved them, which sparked a process of taking art classes and developing into a wonderful artist who specializes in handmade cards, 3D mixed media work, spinning and knitting.
