Participants will work on the wheel and explore some of the different methods of hand-building, and ceramic decorating with texture and carving, plus glazing and firing. Ages 9 and up. Limited to 5 students per class, parent/grandparent/child/family participation is welcome; this means each student/participant would pay class fee in full, no shared wheels or shared registrations. Each pottery camp will consist of three 2 hour sessions, on three different days of one week. When possible, pottery camp will be on Monday, Tuesday and Friday; this allows greenware made on Monday or Tuesday to dry to a workable hardness for carving and detail work. (You'll learn what the means!)
$195 fee includes all supplies plus glazing and firing all pieces that each student makes. (Glazing and Firing generally takes 4 to six weeks after the camp is over) There are three time slots to choose from per day, 10-noon; 1-3:00; and 3:30-5:30.
